Accreditation Renewed at Green County Area Technology Center
We are pleased to announce that for the second time since 2006, the Machine Tool Program at the Green County Area Technology Center (GCATC) of Greensburg, Kentucky has been awarded NIMS Accreditation for excellence in metalworking training. By maintaining their status as a NIMS-accredited program, the staff and faculty at GCATC have proven continued commitment to maintaining high standards for metalworking training in the state of Kentucky and for the greater industry in the United States.
Led by NIMS Team Leader B.R. Blair, a one-day On-Site Evaluation occurred at the technology center on March 8, 2012 which concluded with Mr. Blair's recommendation to officially renew the training program's accreditation. Combined with evidence of the program's continuous efforts to credential students, NIMS officially renewed the accreditation as of September 20, 2012.
Congratulations to everyone involved in this process, especially Principal Rick Atwell and Instructor Barry Porter for their dedication to high standards and the accreditation renewal process. Special thanks to B. R. Blair for leading this evaluation.
