Industry Leaders to Join with Public & Private Officials at Swiss Manufacturing Symposium
National public industry policy leaders will join with private officials as part of the Swiss Manufacturing Symposium on October 26 – 27 at the Swiss Embassy and the Ronald Reagan Building & International Trade Center in Washington, D.C.
Public policy leaders include Assistant Secretary Jane Oates, head of the Employment & Training Administration, Amy Klobuchar, Minnesota Senator and Chairman of the Subcommittee on Competitiveness, Innovation & Export, Tom Petri, Wisconsin Congressman and Chairman of the House Committee on Education & Labor, Kermit Kaleba, Senior Policy Analyst of The Workforce Alliance, and Robert Lerman, Senior Fellow of The Urban Institute.
Industry leaders include Ron Overton, President of Overton Industries, Ralph Hart, President of Feintool Cincinnati, Inc., and Roy Sweatman, President of Southern Manufacturing Technologies, Inc.
The conference will also feature a presentation by the winners of the NTMA-NIMS Apprenticeship Competition, who will return on October 25 from a 10-day tour of Swiss manufacturing companies, under the leadership of Harry Moser, Chairman of Agie Charmilles.
Symposium participants and their spouses will join speakers and panelists at a reception hosted by Swiss Ambassador to the United States Urs Ziswiler on the evening of Monday, October 26th at the Swiss Embassy in Washington, D.C.
The Symposium registration fee includes the October 26th Embassy Reception and the conference on October 27th, as well as breakfast and lunch at the conference.
